VALENTINE ACQUAINTANCE draft#2

     Many people say that you should spend valentines day with your Valentine or partner, but for me it's a no. Valentines day is celebrated on February 14th every year, this is the occasion to spread love to your partner, friends, parents, teachers and many others, and yet I celebrated valentines with my beloved friends and family. This shows that a partner is not that needed to celebrate an occasion like this or it's not necessary. I woke up early and I knew that it was the day of the hearts. I greeted my parents with "happy valentines day" and my heart was happy when they smiled. 

     I wore a red t-shirt ang pants not because I had a partner or i am taken but to feel the essence of Valentines. Also, I had other classmates who were confused because the t-shirt that i am using had a color code and the red t-shirt was stated in the ssg fb page that "chosen every day". When the first period of our class was approaching, I visited my friends in the other section (marconi) to see if they had arrived at school, my heart jumped for joy when my friend gave me a flower that she made (crochet) I thanked her and hugged her while smiling. When I returned to our classroom, I laughed when they said "that's wonderful, you received a flower in just an instant!". I also receive chocolates at lunch time, during our vacant time I rewrote some notes so that I wouldn't be doing school works at home, the teachers gave a lesson and I listened, when I got home I encouraged my friends to take some pictures of us and show our small bouquet of flowers and chocolates. I was very happy because that was the first flower I received in my whole life every valentines, I thanked them again and said goodbye to go home.

     To conclude, I proved that valentines are not only for lovers but love for family, friends, and people around you. I learned to love the people who care for you because they are the people who truly love you. Based on my experience during valentines I can say that I was happy beside of my dearest friends, teachers and parents, they were there to support me in everything and keep my own well-being mind. Spread the love on valentines and you will get the love that you want and desire. This is where I spent and experienced Valentines on Tuesday February 14 2023.

KANNAWIDAN FESTIVAL: A FEAST OF RICH HERITAGE AND CULTURE! #draft1

     

Kannawidan festival is where people celebrates this every year. This event showcases the deep-rooted religiosity of the Ilocanos. The festival pays more attention on Ilocano children. It is because Ilocano culture are not recognized by the younger generations of the province. But instead, there is more on modern dances. With this kind of endeavor, Ilocano children may appreciate their rich culture and tradition. That is why this Festival is conducted. Also on the opening day of the festival, a traditional ritual is performed by the students of Ilocos Sur.

     However, Provincial DepEd officials frequently participate in the mass and parade. This occasion demonstrates the Ilocanos' fervent religiosity. The celebration gives Ilocano kids more focus. It's because the province's younger generations do not understand Ilocano culture. So it is really important to know this event for us to be enjoy this kind of celebration. Also, children from the Ilocos can learn to respect their rich culture and traditions through projects like these. This Festival is held for that reason. Kannawidan is truly well known event in Ilocos, and celebrities were encouraged to join the celebration if there is a program. The significance of this event is to know more the rich culture of Vigan in the province of Ilocos Sur.

     To conclude, it is worth celebrating a festival or event like this kannawidan, it really remind us the positivity and creativeness of native Bigueños. This relieves your stress and surely that anyone visit kannawidan will enjoy. Kannawidan Festival is one of the amazing festival that i am proud to showcase. In conclusion, when it comes to festival like this, we can preserve by the help of the youth.
