HONORING THE FEAST OF VIGAN! NARAGSAK NGA FIESTA! (#ICT THEMATIC)

VIGAN CITY FIESTA! FIESTA TI VIGAN, NARAGSAK NGA ISASANGBAY!

Every January 25, the Vigan City Fiesta is held. It is the patron saint of the city of Vigan and is honored on the day of St. Paul the Apostle's conversion. Vigan's streets become crowded with vibrant displays, gift shops, carnival games, and local performers. I went to the fiesta and saw the street dance when I learned that many people were there solely to participate in the fiesta and commemorate Vigan City's prosperity. Visitors to the vigan fiesta were fortunate to experience the wonderful culture of the vigan city.

From this picture, you can see an image which a beautiful girl is swaying and dancing around while holding the Sto. Niño with both hands.

However, Bigueños from all over the nation and even from abroad go to Vigan merely to take in the splendor of this festival, as it is customary for Filipinos to do so in order to celebrate with their family and friends. In taking part in the cultural performances, parades, and street dance organized by the local government with assistance from the local businesses and towns, they are joined by thousands of tourists from other regions of the Philippines and other nations. Additionally, there are art and artisan fairs, food festivals, and a traveling carnival. Carnival nowadays is enticing to see for children, here you can play and have fun. Participants from the different neighboring provinces in the northern region are also sent to compete in the various games and activities, particularly the street dancing competition, whoever wins will represent the tradition of Vigan City. This participation by other municipalities makes the Vigan City Fiesta not only a local event participated in by Vigan's officials, but a national event participated in by other local public heads and national officials.

In this image, you can see the participants holding a plate of longganisa as they are repsenting the product they made and are proud of.

The Longganisa Festival is also held during the Vigan City Fiesta days. The city hosts a parade with a longganisa theme, and once there was an attempt to make the longest longganisa ever manufactured. Because Vigan longganisa has a distinctive garlicky flavor that has become a favorite of the Filipino palate, the event has grown in popularity. Although other producers have attempted to replicate the flavor of Vigan longganisa, they have been unsuccessful. The Biguenos ascribe this to the fact that preparing Vigan longganisa is a centuries-old local tradition and that all, if not most, of the components are obtained from Vigan. After taking part in a Vigan Fiesta event, it makes a fantastic take-home present. To conclude, The essence of this tradition or fiesta is to know more about the wealth of the town as well as for people to know more about this fiesta. Participating in this fiesta is an honor to discover the beauty of Vigan Fiesta, I have seen the treassure of Vigan and I could say that this is the one that they have been preparing in a year.

This fiesta was fun!, I enjoyed it so much!
